Administrator W. B. He informed the Council that department officials said that construction could possibly commence within six months. Mr. Gardner further re ported that the Town’s re quest for water and sewer grant would not be funded before October 1, 1969, and would in all probability be in the quarter commencing on that date. Mayor Byrum requested Council’s feelings as to the Town’s 'highway need and it was decided that con tinuing of the curb and gutter section from its present terminus at Gran ville Street out to the city limits on Highway 32 at the same time straighten ing the curve at the Cho wan Medical Center should be first priority. It was stated that a meeting with local highway commissioner had been arranged for next week.
