The delegates to the
county convention met
September 25 at 2 P. M.
and elected Ray Byrum to
a three-year term as vice
chairman of the .Chowan
ASC County Committee.
Serving with Mr. Byrum
will be A. C. Griffin as
chairman, who has two
years remaining in his
term and E. E. Boyce, Jr.,
as regular member, who
has one year remaining in
his term.
Leonard Hare and E. M.
Howell were elected as al
ternates.
The new committee year
will start October 1.

sonville, recently employed

The third annual 4-H
Club poultry show and

ton armory when ten 4-H

ing every section of the

Mrs. J. Edwin Bufflap,
57, passed away at her
home on East Church
Street after an illness of
four months during which
time she was a patient in
Chowan Hospital and Nor
folk General Hospital.

culty in rounding out the
Aces’ football team d e to
losing the majority of the
previous season’s first
string players and some
candidates failing to re
port regularly for practice.
M. A. Hughes, chairman
of the Merchants Commit

Edenton’s Colonials, un
