We had a real good pork roast the other twilight which is a sure sign the weather is getting cooler — at night, anyway. All of the new maga zines arriving at our house are featuring pork in the food sections. Family Circle gives this recipe for Bar becued Pork Roll. Barbecued Pork Roll 1 rolled boned center-cut loin of pork, about 6 lbs. 1 cup chili sauce. 1 large onion, diced. % cup maple-blended sy rup. 1 teaspoon mixed salad herbs. ' 1 teaspoon pumpkin - pie spice. Place pork on rack in a shallow roasting pan. In sert meat thermometer into roast so bulb reaches the center. Roast in 325 degree oven for one and one-half hours. Combine chili sauce, onion, syrup, salad herbs and pumpkin-pie spice in a small saucepan; heat to boiling. Spoon part over roast to coat generously. Continue roasting, spoon, ing more sauce over meat every 15 minutes, one hour, or until thermometer registers 170 degrees. Re move roast to a heated serving platter. Garnish with baked tomato cups stuffed with buttered green beans or peas, and chicory or curly endive, if you wish. Legal Notices NOTICE OF SALE R. O.
