m CHOWAN HERALD, EDENTON, NORTH CAROLINA The Christian’s Pathway By DALTON WARD V May Jesus our blessed Redeemer, As He sits on the right hand of God, Making intercession with our Father up in heaven, And preparing the way for the Christian to trod. Then may we as a Christian Lend to God a helping hand By living more closer and being a greater example In doing our best to follow His commands. So may I draw more closer To Him who has paved the way, make my life to shine for Jesus By following in His footsteps every day. So while we have the time to praise Him Let us ever keep in mind That through Jesus only is life eternal And He is the best friend we will ever find. So as we strive to follow our Savior, By being a true witness and keeping in pace, For He is the One who saved up from sin And is also able to keep us by His grace. He came to save the sinner And to heal our bodies, too; So may we always put Him first In all that we say or do. So let our lives be centered on giving Os the things that will not perish away, Trying to be a help and a blessing By causing some soul to see the straight and narrow way. Now may we all put forth an effort . And work for our wonderful Lord, T !For this is a duty that we all cherish By uniting our hearts in one accord.
