On May 2 the voters of Chowan County will
determine what direction public education here will
take in the 70’s. The election of Edenton-Chowan
Board of Education is the beginning of a new era.
Over the past few weeks I have shown you but five
of the reasons I am interested in quality public
education. I will be just as interested in every child
now in the system or those coming along in the
future. Your interest in my candidacy as well as
your vote on May 2 will be sincerely appreciated.

Dear Friends of Edenton and Chowan County:
On Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th, we will observe our
second anniversary in this community. It is on the eve of this annivers
ary that we pause to express to you our sincere appreciation for the
receptiveness which has been accorded us during these first two years
in operation.
We feel a deep sense of humility in having been afforded the privilege
to walk with the hurt and hope that in some small way have provided a
measure of comfort and help.
It is, and has been, our aim to provide a service in keeping with the
very highest principles of our profession and to be distinctive by our
anticipation of every need. Anything short of this, we feel, is less
than what you deserve.
In observance of our anniversary this weekend we wish to extend
a special invitation to you, our friends, to visit our facilities and chat
with our personnel.
Thanking you again, we are,
Most cordially,
