Nixon - Peele Vows Said 1 In Rocky Hock Ceremony Miss Margaret Ann Nixon was married to James Decosta Peele, Jr., May 31, in Rocky Hock Baptist Church. The 4 o’clock vows were heard by Rev. Meredith Garrett. Mrs. Peele is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie A. Nixon of Tyner, while the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peele, Sr., of Eden fon. The bride, given in marri age by her brother, Howard Nixon of Edenton, wore a formal wedding gown of white French silk organza "F and venise lace over ploude saie, styled with an empire bodice, high neckline and full length bishop sleeves and A line skirt. The full chapel train hung ifrom the shoulder. The full silk illusion veil was arranged from a cluster of V venise flowers to match the gown. She carried a bouquet of daisies with life-out corsage. Mrs. Frank Spruill of Nor folk, Va., was matron of hon or. She is a cousin of the bride. The mother of the bride wore a short blue polyester dress with low neckline and matching accessories. Mrs. Peele wore a short mint green polyester dress and matching accessories. Following the ceremony a reception was held in Rocky Hock Community Center, hosted by the bridegroom’s parents. Mrs. O. C. Long, Jr., was mistress of cere mony. The couple will reside in Chapel Hill, where the bride groom will be a senior at the University of North Carolina and the bride will work at N. C. Memorial Hospital. C. BAKER, JR. Miss Charlotte Nixon Weds William C. Baker Miss Charlotte Anne Nixon became the bride of William Cullen Baker, Jr., in Rocky Hock Baptist Church at 2:30 o’clock Sunday. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Mere dith G. Garrett in a setting of palms and yellow and white mixed flowers. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Ray Nixon of Edenton and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cullen Bak er, Sr., of Edenton. A program of wedding mu sic was presented by Miss Wanda Morris, organist, and Miss Peggy Bunch, soloist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a long formal gown of organza, fea turing an empire waistline accented with a satin bow, long full sleeves and high neckline trimmed in Venise lace and organza rucking. The cathedral length train was also trimmed with Ven ise lace and organza rucking. A bouffant veil of silk illu sion was attached to an or ganza bow accented with Venise lace and pearls. The bride carried a cascade of white ifuji pem-poms centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Billy Nixon, sister-in law of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Su san Harrell and Mrs. Calvin Parrish of Edenton, Mrs. Fahey Byrum, Jr., of Tyner,: and Miss Marie Baker of Mer- 1 ry Hill.
