STILL ALIVE

Chappell’s Hill Church is very much alive.
And the banner of Christ is still flying high.
1 am really proud of this little church,
Although a hundred years have passed by.
I am right there when the doors are open,
i always try to fill <my place.
For thirty years I’ve taught a class,
It was all done by God’s grace.
Yes, we’ve just had a revival,
Let me tell you it was grand.
It’s wonderful to know what God can do,
He sent us such a preaching man.
We heard a message on .the good Samaritan,
1 enjoyed the sermon fine.
And he also preached from Revelations
To help keep us all in line.
He spoke about the Heavenly Father
And unto this world He sent IHis Son.
Jesus died in agony upon the cross
So that victory would be won.
And all about the beauty of Heaven
And the transparent golden streets.
Just think of the loved ones over there,
AH the good old saints we will meet.
A beautiful wedding was also solemnized
In this old church building today,
il really wish them the best of everything
As they journey down life’s way.
The bride was really beautiful,
The eroom was also handsome, too.
I /eel very confident that their life
Will be successful all the way through
I have s»>en many beautiful weddings
In this old home church of mine.
I have also seen many funerals,
And all the memories that they left behind.
This old building has been filled with laughter,
I’ve also seer, the glcom and tears.
It’s served its purpose for the living and the dead
Throughout the past one hundred years.
COA Workshop Planned

Health Grant Project will be

Education Workshops on cam
pus at COA for registered
nurses, health directors, prac
tical nur es, nurses aides and
other health personnel of Pas
quotank, Perquimans, Cho
wan, Camden, Currituck,
Gates and Dare on September
14, and scheduled throughout
the year. It is the objective
of these workshops to update
knowledge, skills and under
standings of health problems
for health personnel.
Each workshop is designed
for three hours of instruction
in the morning and repeated
in the afternoon session.

in their respective communi
ties.
