To begin the day teens need a go - getter breakfast and this is the age when they often are inclined to dash away with a sticky doughnut in hand and then spend a drowsy morning in the class room. If you have this ■trouble at your house, try the quick and easy way with breakfast by looking in your frozen food counter for froz en prepared breakfasts. Keep some of these balanced meals in the freezer for those mornings when you oversleep and don’t have time to pre pare a good breakfast. It takes 20 minutes in a 490 de gree oven. There is a choice of scrambled eggs, sausage patty and country style fried potatoes, pancakes and saus age or French toast and saus age patties. You can use that 20 min utes to prepare an enticing treat Orange Jucious. Just combine one cup vanilla ice cream, one cup orange juice and a dash of nutmeg and whirl until smooth in the blender or beat with a rotary beater. Makes four servings. Then, there are those who want to carry a lunch rather than eat in the school cafe teria. These present addi tional problems. Vz cup seedless raisins. Vi cup sugar. Vt cup light corn syrup. % cup creamy peanut but ter. Vi teaspoon pure vanilla extract. In a large mixing bowl, combine popcorn, peanuts and raisins. Edwin Bufflap and Mrs. Bufflap. District DAR Event Set Here The Eoenton Tea Party Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be host to the annual District Eight DAR meeting here Wednesday. The official state board, headed by Mrs. W. Dillon Chambers of Asheville, state OAR regent, will be present. The meeting will convene at 10:30 A. M. at the Edenton Municipal Building. Regis tration and a coffee hour will precede the meeting. Mrs. Sam Mallison, Jr., of Washington, district director, will preside. Yearly reports will be given by each of the 10 chapters in the district. The day’s program will conclude with a luncheon at 1 P. M. at the Edentcn Res taurant. Mrs. Allan B. Bonner of Hertford, regent of the Tea Party Chapter, said the board members will arrive in Eden ton Tuesday afternoon. They will tour the Iredell House and the Cupola House prior to a dinner in their honor at the Edenton Restaurant, giv en by the local chapter. Other towns having DAR chapters in the district are Elizabeth City, Farmville, Halifax, Rocky Mount, Scot land Neck, Snow Hill, Tar boro, Washington and Wil son.
