PAGE EIGHT-A THE HAPPY FAMILY I By DALTON WARD, Rylsad, N. C. The happy family will always find That in living for Jesus there is great joy divine; So let u* live snore humble and be much in prayer, And if we live in unity He will always be there. So let us be faithful and always stand true In everything that we say or do; For Christ will bless those who are in need, If they only by His word do feed. If we seek to do our best , 'He will step in and give us great success; And if we open our heart’s door wide, He will be right there by our side. So let us pull together in our homes at all times, Keeping Christ forever afresh in our minds; Because it will pay us to be ready on that great day; And let all of the things that will perish in our lives fade away. If is not those who start in this race that shall win But it is only those who stand true to the end; So may we make preparations today To meet our blessed Saviour for through Him is the only way. The happy family can always have peace And a love and a joy that will never cease; If we wait upon God and give Him first place. Some day we shall meet Him and see His smiling face. So If we lean upon the Saviour on His strong and mighty arm He will keep us safe and secure from all harm; To lead and direct us in the way that is best, Over the chilly Jordan into the heaven of rest. So let us keep on traveling to the very last mile, And always help carry the cross with a smile; For in due season we will reap a great reward, If we will Aollow more closer to the Lord. Now it is up to the individual to do his very best In order that he might always be blest: As he follows the Saviour let him keeD in mind, That He is the best Friend that he will ever find.
