The dance will take place in the OHS cafeteria. Admis sion will be $1.25 stag and $2 a couple. The proceeds will pay for the expenses of the pictures printed by The Chowan Her ald. JC Cheerleaders Try-outs Edenton, North Carolina, Thursday, October 15,1970 with a unit of the Air Force Communications ser vice which provides global communications and air traf fic control for the USAF. The sergeant is a 1962 graduate of Roosevelt High School. His wife, Betty, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Roberts of 400 Bute Street, Suffolk, Va. Sgt. Reeves’ father, Wil liam A. Reeves, resides at 409 North Granville Street, Eden ton, N. C. Junior varsity cheerleader try-outs is being held today after school. Nine girls will be selected out of the 12 who are trying out for cheering positions. SCA Places Suggestion Box The Student Council has placed a suggestion box in the cafeteria. The box is to give the students an oppor tunity to express their ideas on ways to improve CHS. The SOA will also sponsor an intramural tournament. The tournament will consist of ping-pong and horseshoes, and it will be played during lunch. Fund Raising Project October 2 was Bermudas and Slacks Day at CHS. It was sponsored by the senior class to raise money to help finance the 197:1 homecoming. Price of the tickets was 25 cents. Proceeds amounted to $31.92. Report Card Time The first six weeks at Chowan ended Tuesday. The students will receive report cards tomorrow.
