There were prizes given to the daily top sales man and to the overall top salesman. S. A. T. Last Saturday morning a group of sleepy and tired, but thinking John A. Holmes j High School students travel ed to Bertie High School or Elizabeth City State Univer sity to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test. The S. A. T. determines the score on the College Board Examination. Juniors and seniors take the test in the spring and the fall. This test has become the fear of many students since one test may determine whether or not a person will be accepted by a college. UNICEF “Trick or Trert 'or Unicef” were the words mostly used by the Tri-Hi-Y members on Halloween night. This year the club collect ed $52.23 for underprivileged children. Association for Retarded Children, reports that the pace of the survey to locate inactive professionals is pick ing up in this area. Regis tration blanks are being com pleted and returned to the state office. Additional people are need ed to register with this pro ject in order to more effec tively serve cur retarded and handicapped children and adults. “Those who have served in health related vo cations, program managers, teachers and other profes sionals may register as po tential employee - volunteers, in addition to persons with special skills and experience with time to c.'fer,” Fendley says.
