10 A. M.
Murray Ashley, Civil De
fense director, told the Com
missioners of a plan for sur
vival. Upon motion of N. J.
George, seconded by C. M.
Evans and unanimously car
ried that the printing of the
plan be approved without
cost to the county. Mr. Ash
ley reported that federal
funds are available for con
structing an emergency op
erations center.
George Lewis, chairman of
the County Planning Board,
invited the Commissioners to
attend their meetings held in
the conference room on the
second floor in the county of
fice building the fourth Tues
day of each month. He in
vited them to a special meet
ing to be held November '9.
Mr. Lewis requested a bud
get of $300.00 for this year
for seminars and other ex
penses of the Board.
