Record Sales Supports Plyler Fund
The Conrad Plyler Husk
Scholarship, organized in
June, 1868, has proven to be

where he served as organist
and choir director for several
years in a Suffolk church.
Many times in Gates Coun
ty and in the surrounding
area, Plyler gave unselfishly
of his outstanding and versa

churches, civic clubs, and
charitable organizations. He
taught piano and organ, hav
ing taught pupils for several
years in Gates and Chowan
counties. Ofttimes for charit
able causes, he served as pro
ducer, director and organist.
Plyler’s death came in May,
1968. The music scholarship
