monthly luncheon meeting at
1 P. M. at the Edenton Res
taurant. Mrs. Linn will
speak on lineage research and
genealogical records.
Mrs. Linn is originally
from Lookout Mountain, Tenn.,
a graduate of Randolph-
Macon Woman’s College with
a MA in English from the
University of North Carolina
at Chapel HilL Her husband
is an attorney and they have
a son, Stahle, 111, who is 12,
and a daughter, Sarah Ar
rington, who is nine.
Mrs. Linn has served as re
gent of the Elizabeth Max

stracts and is presently com
piling the abstracts of the
Rowan County marriage
bonds for publication.

Honor Society
Miss Mary Mac Holmes,
Mrs. Frances P. Wilkins and
Mrs. Frances T. Hollowell
were initiated into Pi Chap
ter 'of the Delta Kappa Gam
ma Society at a meeting of
the chapter on Saturday, Oc
tober 2, at the Carolinian
Hotel, Nags Head.
Other initiates were Mrs.
Johnnie- White and Mrs.
Joyce Riddick of Hertford;
also Mrs. Gwen Bell, Mrs.
Erma Turner and Mrs. Mary
Jane James of Elizabeth City.
Following the initiation
ceremcrty a three course
luncheon was served in the
Virginia Dare dining room of
the Carolinian.

Saturday’s meeting were Mrs.
Marguerite Burch, Mrs. Lloyd
