For And • • About Women Page Three Miss Crummey, Mr. Forehand Wed The marriage of Miss An gela Marie Crummey, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Crummey and Jimmy Carol Forehand, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Forehand, took place March 5 at 2:30 P. M. the Rocky Hock Baptist Church. Rev. Larry R. Mc- Clure officiated. The church was decorated with candles, white mums, fugl pom-poms, daisies, glad iolus and green palms. The music was presented by Rev. and Mrs. 'Robert E. Gray. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. Her bridal gown v/as of Pcau Do Soir satin covered with Valenciennes lace styled with an empire •Waist, puff sleeves with white satin cuffs and a long cha pel train. 'Delicate detailing and lace lavished the em pire bodice. She carried a white Bible lopped with a bridal bouquet of white sweetheart roses with stream ers of white pico ribbon. The bridegroom had as his best man his father, D. C. Forehand. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Miss Di anne Crummey. Upon returning to Edenton the couple will make their home on Route 1. Guardsmen sponsored a barbecue and gave all the proceeds to the drive. Heart Fund Goad Reached The Chowan Chapter of the Heart Fund reached its goal of $3,000 during the recent campaign. The goal was reached by several means including downtown solicitations, bene fit spaghetti and barbecue meals, balloon and tag sales, performance by the Lewis family, door to door cam paign and individual contri butions. The largest benefit check came from the proceeds of the barbecue sponsored by the Edenton National Guard unit. Each year the Guards men donate their time and energies to prepare a meal and give all the proceeds to the Heart Fund.
