Hunt To Visit Lower Albemarle
Jim Hunt, Democratic can
didate for lieutenant governor,
will visit the Albemarle Area
Saturday.
Hunt, who has been carry
ing on a vigorous, person-to
person campaign across the
state, lias three stops schedul
ed in the area before he
heads for a church retreat on
Bogue Sound.
His first stop is at noon in
■Plymouth, where he will hold
a press conference and meet
with key campaign people in
Washington County. He will
be accompanied by his county
chairman, Andrew Romanet
of Plymouth.
Hunt will be in Columbia
at 2 P. M. to attend the Al

of the Week" for their per
formances in Saturday’s 21-0
victory over Shepherd Col
lege.
Leary, a junior from Eden
ton, was selected as the of
fensive player of the week
while Sexton, a Fayetteville
sophomore, received a similar
honor on defense.
Leary, who has been a
starter for the Fighting
Christians since the third
game of his freshman year,
was on the receiving end of
eight passes which were good
for 82 yards against Shep
herd. But more important
was the fact that nearly
every one of his catches gave
the Fighting Christians first
downs and added possession
time with the ball.

The meeting was called to

the Lord’s Prayer.
The minutes were read and
approved and the roll called.

given.
