Page 2-A Bandon Notebook OI.DKK YOUNG FOLK Bandon Chapel Youth Fellowship held its second ; meeting on January. Saturday 27. at 1 o'clock. One visitor and two new members were (welcomed. The group has passed the planning stages and is ready for action. Craft ■ projects will begin next week. Says Mrs. R. J. (Pat) Rountree. Smith and Jackson Strickland from their places in the •congregation Alter the service, when nearly everyone moved toward Fellowship Hall, for a bit light .refreshment, it was mentioned •that two names had been omitted last week from this column. Talk about alibing! How easy to let others assume that The Chowan Herald had done so. But in checking the duplicate sheet, kept at home...the culprit was none other than "vours truly." Os course Mr. and Mrs. G. Douglas Tise were among the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Dilday. Jr on the .Jiappy occasion of their 25th :-wedding anniversary. THE CLASS MEETING On Tuesday night at 7:30 o'clock, members and others interested in the progress of Bandon Chapel's Sunday School will meet in Fellowship Hall, as usual. It's never a late session and always enlightening. The bit of refreshment and conversation afterward wind up an important hour or two. TRAVELING COUPLES There will be four absentees from their elective duties beginning on Sunday. February 11. Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Bunting and Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Tise will be vacationing in Flordia, probably until the first week in March. Both couples will hitch trailers to their cars and travel the route together as far as possible...at least to Daytona. Some of the spots to be visited are Cape Kennedy (formerly Canaveral). Miami. Tampa, the Keys. Fort Pierce. Orlando and the Disney World. Mrs. Tise will go to St Petersburg to visit her mother. They have diligently arranged to have excellent substitutes during their absence. On February 11 and 25 William F. Smith will take Mrs. Bunting's place in the adult class, as will B. Kent Rowley. February 18 and March 4. if the travelers have not returned. On all dates. Mrs. R. J. Rountree (Pat) will fill in for Mrs. Tise in leaching the juniors. Series Coetiived At Baptist Charch Dr. William C. Butts will continue his series of sermons Sunday at Providence Baptist Church on the subject: "Miracles of Jesus". The topic this week will be: "The Miracle of Healing the Ten Lepers”, which is the fourth in the series of six sermons. Church school begins at 9:30 A M., with Charlie L. Downing. Sr., director. The Board of Christian Education will meet following the morning worship service and the Building Committee will meet at 5 P.M. The Deacon and Trustee Board will meet in a special session at 6 P.M.
