Special Project For White Oak
Real excitement has been in
the offering for all students at
White Oak School!
On March 27 Lester Copeland
donated 80 turkey eggs to the
sghool for their turkey
incubator.
Children have been able to
actually see the daily
development of the embryo!
Every day there is real
excitementamongthestudents—
wondering what new
development they will see that
day.
Nancy Boswell from Chowan
High School really found herself
in luck when she was able to use
this in correlation with her
biology project.
She has found it just as

School Officials Slate Seminar
Dr. Eddie West,
superintendent of Edenton-
Chowan Schools, will attend a
seminar on “Administrative
Teaming in Education’’ April
30-May 1 at the Holiday Inn in
Kinston. The seminar is being
sponsored by the Department of
Public lnstruction in
cooperation with the National
Academy of School Executives
(NASE) of the American
exciting and rewarding as the
students and faculty of White
Oak.

Supt. Craig Phillips, this
seminar is one of three being
held for all public school
superintendents in the State to
acquaint them with the pros and
cons, approaches, and
procedures of administrative
teaming. Administrative
teaming is the process of the
school superintendent and kev
staff members working together
to manage the school system.
The seminar will run for two
days beginning at 9 A.M. and
running through 4 P.M. each
day. Richard Wynn, professor
of educational administration at
the University of Pittsburgh;
Norman Hall, Superintendent of
schools in Andrews. Tex.;
