The gift and photo was made recently. (Jane Oden Photo for DCTB). Six Defendants Absent From Court Six defendants scheduled to appear before Judge John T. Chaffin for trial in Chowan County District Court Tuesday were not present. Warrants were issued for Patricia R. Hughes, Melvin Lee Mc- Clenney, Roy Eugene Haddock, Christopher Norton, Matilda Mae Ross, and Jerry Lee Webb. Charges involved ranged from speeding and drunk driving to fishing violations. Asst. Dist. Atty. Chris Bean prosecuted the docket with actions taken in the following cases: Wayne Cornelius Cope- Couple Continued From Page 3, Griffin and Robert Wrenn. The mother of the bride wore a dress of green chiffon. Mrs. Everhart, mother of the groom, was dressed in blue chiffon. The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the wedding in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Assisting were: Mr. and Mrs. John B. Hammerick, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Key, Mrs. Robert Harris and Mrs. R. Lloyd Edward Privott, speeding, $25 fine and costs. Death Claims Mr. Madry, 71 ENFIELD—CIyde H. Madry, 71, father of Donald and Eddie Madry of Edenton, died Thursday. Other survivors include two other sons: Billy Madry of Scotland Neck and Clyde Madry, Jr. of Omaha, Neb., three sisters, Mrs. Annie Bell Armacost of Finksburg, Md., Mrs. Susan Clay of Enfield, and Mrs. Ellen Allsbrook of Raleigh, and five grandchildren.
