We’ll also discuss college with you and possibly relate some personal experiences. See you Friday! As long as we’re traveling, have you seen all of North Carolina that you would really like to? If not, the students from Mrs. Virginia Wood’s class of seventh graders at Chowan Academy, have brought some very interesting slices of North Carolina history, geography, and beauty to the Library in the form of the scrapbooks they have recently completed. The covers of the books are outstandingly creative. One features dogwood blossoms and a cardinal (our state flower and bird) on a burlap University of Central Arkansas. The Christians posted a perfect 11-0 overall regular season slate and clinched the ’76 South Atlantic Conference crown with a 7-0 conference tab. Eleven players have been signed to see action for the Elon College Fighting Christians. Among them are: John Norris and Mike Brown of Edenton. Norris, a fullback, is 5-9, 190 pounds. He was named All-Conference, All-East as well as participating in the East-West game. Brown, a 6-1, 195-pound defensive end also is a wrestling standout.
