the past week. At 2:55 P. M.
Monday firemen went to the

a stove caused a fire and
slight damage, according to

A double elimination
singles tournament is set
June 25 and 26 by Chowan
Tennis Association at the'
courts on North Broad
Street. The deadline for
registering is Monday.
The entry fee is one can of
yellow balls.
The event has six
divisions from Junior, 18
and under, to Senior-
Women’s, 35 and over.

A class for diabetics
concerning nutrition will be
taught at Chowan Hospital
Unit C beginning on June 21
for a five week period.
Classes will begin at 1:00
P.M. each Tueaday.

Gymnastics has not

Comenci has gymnastics

men and women participate
in and enjoy watching.
This past school year,
