Convention Set
On Outer Banks
NAGS HEAD - An
nouncement is made of the
82nd Annual Convention oi
the Seaboard Medical
Association by president,
Dr. Richard K. Neal, Jr., of
Norfolk, Va. The dates are
June 16-19 and the con
vention site is the Holiday
Inn at Kill Devil Hills.
The scientific program,
reports Dr. Neal, will be
Friday and Saturday and
will offer eight hours of
Category I continuing
education credit for
physicians attending the
week-end convention. Some
200 physicians are expected
to attend from the
Tidewater Virginia and
Eastern * North Carolina
area.
Twenty-seven companies
will have exhibits'during the
two-day scientific sessions
boosting attendance some 60
to 70 persons.
On Thursday evening, the
officers and past-presidents
will host the guest program
speakers and their wives at
an informal reception at the
Holiday Inn.
The Seaboard Medical
Association has held its
annual meetings in June at
Nags Head since 1959.
Mr. Harrell
Died Sunday
HERTFORD James
Horace Harrell, 46, Route 2,
Hertford, died Sunday af
ternoon in Norfolk General
Hospital from injuries
sustained aftei; being struck
by a car at Nags Head on
May 28.
A native of Gates County,
he was the son of William D.
and Allie Boyce Harrell,
Route 2, Hertford. He was a
farmer.
Surviving besides his
parents are three
daughters: Misses Edna
Lee and Diana Lynn
Harrell, both of Elizabeth
•City; and Mrs. Marty Harris
of Edenton; one son. James
Horace Harrell, Jr., of South
Mills; one sister, Mrs.
Jessie Williams of Elizabeth
City; two bothers: Elton
Harrell of Tyner and
William E. Harrell of Kill
Devil Hills; and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services were
held Tuesday at 3:30 P. M.
in the chapel of Swindell
Funeral Home with Rev.
Daniel Forbes officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn
Memoiral Park in Elizabeth
City.

Licenses to apply before
July 1.
According to Bass, timely
applications for licenses,
together with the correct
remittance, should be
.mailed to the N. C.
Department of Revenue,
Post Office Box 25000,
Raleigh, N. C. 27640, or
submitted to the local
Revenue Office.
He advises that the
penalty for failure to comply
will be 5 per cent for each
delinquent month, or
fraction thereof after July 1.
