A Yearly Event
Yes I went to a Easter egg hunt, '
It was really a bundle of fun.
I' And it gave me a big thrill
" To see the children romp and run.
'‘' • '
We hid the eggs in the shrubbery,
• ;Then we gave a loud call. 1
■Out came those bright eyed children,
; ill feared some one might fall.
'.4 y
• The children really jumped with glee,
■ They searched the shrubbery from the top to ground.
Yes they looked for the eggs diligently,
Untill all had been safely found.
It
: Emma Rae’s mother was sick with a virus,
; ‘That really made everything work bad.
; iThink of a mother with five young children,
.It caused the whole family to feel sad.
: j
; Yes Viola and myself were there to help,
• 'We entertained the children in the first grade room.
We met with Dorothy Blanchard and Patricia Young,
;It wasn’t long, the party was in a bloom.
; ;Our little grand daughter Emma Rae,
She was happy as a child could be.
• When they opened the door she waved her hand,
! That really meant so very much to me.
Emma Rae has a lovely teacher,
| .And she really thinks Mrs. Goodwin is grand.
I Yes Emma Rae is very fond of school,
‘ She is a smart little girl, can really understand.
\ »
•' ;Yes we should be very proud of children,
i They really scatter flowers along our way.
; 'But they are only with us a short while,
•;it wasn’t intended for them to stay.
