The show will be held in Farmers Warehouse in Ahoskie, as was the highly successful show two years ago, an nounced Shirley S. Pierce, show president. The show will be con-' ducted at a time when peanut farmers and others involved in the peanut in dustry will be exceedingly receptive to available products, services and ideas. Ahoskie is located in the geographic center of the North Carolina-Virginia peanut area and is con venient to customers. The purpose of the show is to assemble, under one roof, exhibits of the major products and services abailable to peanut farmers and the peanut industry. It is important and convenient for farmers and others in the peanut industry to see in one place all the latest technology available. They not only see and learn about modern methods of production but are also able to make on-the-spot com parisons. About 100 commercial exhibits are expected in the show, in addition, educational exhibits will show the results of new peanut research. A Cook-A-Peanut contest will be held in conjunction with the show. A Peanut Poster contest will be conducted for youth. The Peanut Trade Show is chartered as a non-profit corporation. The show is sponsored by the N.C. Agricultural Extension Service, Coastal Plain Development Association and the Ahoskie Chamber of Commerce. Numerous organizations have endorsed the Peanut Trade Show. These include the N.C. Peanut Growers Association, Hertford County Board of County Commissioners, and Hert ford County Farm Bureau. Service Aids Senior Citizens Telephone Reassurance is a free-of-charge service provided to all interested Senior Citizens and disabled persons. Daily contact, with a staff member at the Community Life Center, reassures the staff of the well-being of the participant in this service and also reassures the participant that somebody cares. The participant agrees to call the Community Life Center during a specified time, Monday through Friday. If, at the end of a specified time, a call has not been received, the Com munity Life Center will try to exhaust all possible contact who might know of the participant’s whereabouts. In the event that the Community Life Center cannot make contact, it is understood that the local police or sheriff’s will be called upon to assist in locating the participant and determining his-her welfare. In the past lives have been saved through this valuable service. For more information and-or to join Telephone Reasurance, call your local health department or Community Life Centers (335-0711); Pasquotank and Camden) or (482-8436; Perquimans and Chowan). The ladle is a round cup on the end of a long handle for easy dipping and ladling. Use it to serve soups, gravies and heavy chowder which are difficult to pour from a pan. It also permits gathering of the proper proportion of juice and food in something like a chowder. The Di-Gel Difference Anti-Gas medicine Di-Gel adds to its soothing \ntacids. -\nti-Gas
