Thursday, August 16, 1979 Paintings On Display The oil painting land scapes of New Jersey artist Annie Leeney have been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. As the noted art critic Emily Genauer wrote in a review of her land scapes, “They are com mendable for their spaciousness, their sense of air and light and wind.” This exhibition of the land scape in all seasons brings further proof of the artist’s ability to interpret nature forms into personal in dividual statements. An exhibit of the land scapes by Annie Leeney are on display at Shepard- Pruden Memorial Library where they will hang throughout August. Bom in Potsdam, N. Y., Annie Leeney studied at the Art Students League, Grand Central Art School, College of St. Elizabeth (8.A.), Syracuse, St. Lawrence and Fordham Universities and privately with Haley Lever, N.A. She is a member of Audubon Artists, National Association of Women Artists, Allied Artists of America, Pen and Brush Club, NYC; New Jersey Water Color Society and other national and regional art societies.
