GOVERNOR WHEREAS, the prosperity and well-being of all citizens of North Carolina depend on both the products and services of industry and agriculture; and WHEREAS, the increasing complexity of problems and the divergence of activities in business, industry and agriculture have led to misunderstandings; and WHEREAS, there is a continued need for farm people and city people to recognize that they are partners inĀ« progress and must work together to assure the continued advancement of our State; and WHEREAS, it is fitting we recognize the modern inter dependence of rural and urban society through appropriate observances and events across the State; THEREFORE, I proclaim the week of November 21-27, 1980, as FARM CITY WEEK IN NORTH CAROLINA and commend this observance to ouL^itizens.
