C. Medical Society. Gov. James B. Hunt, Jr., will welcome all volunteers and guests at the luncheon. The special guest speaker is Dr. Harold M. McNeill, president of West Virginia State College. A native of North Carolina, Dr. McNeill held a joint appointment as extension district super visor and assistant professor in the Department of Sociologv and An thropology at N. C. State University from 1956 to 1968. He also served as Associate Professor and Head of Sociology and Director of Field Studies at Bennett College in Greensboro before his move to West Virginia. A special award will be presented to Judge John D. Larkins, Jr., of Trenton for 40 years of volunteer ser vice. Judge Larkins was the first representative of the N. C. Division to the Nation al Board of Directors. He served as division president in 1954 and later presided at First National Cured Cancer Congress in Washington. Armed Forces Day Celebration Is Scheduled ELIZABETH CITY An Armed Forces Day celebration is scheduled here Saturday at the Coast Guard Air Station. Events begin at 10 A.M. and run until 4 P.M. The public is invited and there is no ad mission charge. Coast Guard and military hardware, experimental aircraft, parachutists and an array of demonstrations will head up the en tertainment. At 1 P.M. the U. S. Navy Chuting Stars precision parachute team will present a demonstration. At 12-noon the U. S. Cost Guard Atlantic Strike Team will perform. There will also be water search and rescue demonstrations and there will be aircraft displays as well as hanger displays.
