The final score was 45-26 in favor of the Trojans. Illness Claims Mr. Lane, 85 Elsbery Ellison Lane, 85, of New Bern, N. C. died December 3 at the Craven County Memorial Hospital in New Bern following a short illness. Thursday, December 10, 1981 Chesapeake, Va., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Dec. 6 at 2 P. M. at the Williford - Barham Funeral Chapel by Rev. Owen Arthur, with burial following at the Nixon Family Cemetery in Edenton. Pallbearers were James Lane, Claude Lane, J. R. Lane, William Lane, Eugene Boyce and Wayne Lane. Williford - Barham Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Th. first American to Ml tar the Olympic Pentath lon was George Patton, later General Patton Trojans Defeat The Bulldogs, 20-0 The Immanuel Christian Trojans traveled to Greenville on Nov. 20 to represent the Northeast in NCACE flag-football held on the campus of East Carolina University and came away a winner. On Friday evening the team met a once beaten team of Berean Christian School of Fayetteville and handed the Bulldogs a 2(H) defeat. Quarterback Stevie Harrell led a balanced ground and air attack to build up a 14 to 0 lead at half time. Halfback Ronnie Whitley scored the final touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach for Berean. On Saturday Immanuel faced a tough, undefeated opponent of Community Christian School from Bladenboro. After swapping touchdowns on the first two possessions for each team Immanuel scored the go ahead score late in the second quarter and led at half time 22-12.
