Dear Editor;
I am writing in reference
to an article in The Daily
Advance on February 10,
1982 concerning my
retirement from the Town of
Edenton. I would like to
advise you the reason for
my retiring is exactly what I
stated in my letter to Mr.
Noble. That is I am retiring
for personal reasons and for
the best interest of my
health.

decisions that I do not one
huncred per cent agree
with. This is something I
know you realize happens
one time or another with any
employee and employer. I
can assure you that I am not
having problems with Mr.
Noble as was stated in the
article. I am under no
pressure from him, the
Mayor, or any of the Town
Council.
I hope this will clear any
misunderstandings that my
have occurred due to the
article.

30 Democrats have filed
notice of candidacy for
election to those positions.
Morgan was elected to a
six-year term in the U. S.
Senate in 1974. He
previously had served six
years as Attorney General
department heads. While I
have known Sam Noble,
Town Administrator, for
only a few months, I have
‘found him quite capable in
all aspects of administrative
work.
I suggest that in the
future, The Daily Advance,
more particularly, Roy
Lucas, attempt to report the
news in a manner befitting
the esteemed profession of
journalism - not in a
manner befitting the covert
operations of the CIA.
