Thursday, March 11. 1982 DECA CLUB WINNERS Ten DECA Club students from John A. Holmes High School recently attended the annual District Competitive Events held in Greenville. Half of the students won awards in the different events. They are, left to right, Jamie Lane, Teresa " Privott, Eric Byrum, Suanne Bass and Sheila Cherry. DECA Students Win Competition Ten members of John A. Holmes High School DECA Club attended and competed in the annual District Competitive Events held in Greenville on March 4. The k students were scored from a w written test as well as par ticipating in handling a difficult job situation in front of a judge. There were four different events held; they were in the areas of Food Marketing, General Merchandising, Apparel ' and Accessories, and Restaurant Marketing. | John A. Holmes won " awards in the following categories: Food Marketing, Teresa Privott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Privott, won a Proficiency Award. Teresa is employed by Bos&ell’s Market. General Merchandising, Sheila Cherry, daughter of v Mr. and Mrs. Robert V Cherry, won a Proficiency Award. Sheila is employed by Hollowell and Blount Rexall. Jamie Lane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lane, won a' Proficiency Award and runner-up trophy.
