New Officers
Hie Delta Kappa Gamma
Society International
founded in Austin Texas in
1929, is an educational,
honorary and professional
organization. “Society”
designates the overall in
ternational organization of
the total membership.
Members, 154,750
throughout 13 counties,
work toward common goals.
PI Chapter is composed of
members from the eight
counties of the Albemarle
area of North Carolina. Pi
Chapter was organized in
1946.
The executive board of PI
Chapter held its first
meeting of 1982 on June 19 at
the home of President, Jean
Newell, in Elizabeth City.
Other officers working with
Mrs. Newell for the current

meetings for 1982 - 83. PI
Chapter meets four times
annually. The next chapter
meeting will be held in Nags
Head on October 9,1982. The
Society’s International
Convention is being held at
Peachtree Center Plaza,
Atlanta, Georgia on August
1 8 , 1982.
The meeting was followed
with a delicious and
refreshing luncheon, served
by President, Jean Newell.
Gospel Rally
Is Slated
The Lighthouse
Evangelistic Team, com
posed of Rev. James T.
Lochridge and family, will
be at Chappell Hill Baptist
Church for a weekend
“Gospel Rally” starting
Saturday night July 24 and
continuing through Sunday
night.
The service on Saturday
night will start at 7:30 P.M.
and will be an informal
service. Bro. Lochridge will
also be singing and speading
in the Sunday morning
worship service at 11:00
A.M. The Sunday evening
service will begin at 8:00
P.M.
Those who attend will
hear the inspiring singing
talents of the Lochridge
family as well as Bro.
Lochridge’s dynami
preaching and chatt
artistry.
The public is invited,
