Aerobics Plus
Slimnastics Plus
Both Women’s exercise
programs continue to grow
in interest at the Recreation
Department with over
forty women participating
in the two classes. The
Aerobics class is a high
energy program in
corporating dancing with
exercise to music. This class
meets every Monday and
Wednesday evening from 6-
7. The Slimnastics class is a
slower paced program of
exercise and conditioning
meeting on Tuesday and
Thursday mornings at 10.
Both classes are taught by
Julie Spivey and Terry
Rothberger. Call the
Recreation Dept, at 482 -
8595 for more information.
Soccer 1982
Soccer season kicked off
Saturday morning with
Seabrook and ."White
Lightin’. The Seabrook team
used a swarming defense to
contain the Lightin’ shooters
and exploded for two goals
of their own. Shawn Rollins
paced the for
Seabrook with both goals.
Soccer action continues
each Tuesday at 6 and
Saturday mornings at 10.

Homecoming
The annual Homecoming
Celebration will be observed
at The Kadash A.M.E. Zion
Church of Edenton on Oc
tober 3rd. A special activity
is planned at 11 A.M. And
1:30 P.M. The Gospel
Singers of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania will render a
special musical program.
The public is invited to
attend.

Heifer Show
Twenty five heifers from
throughout Eastern North
Carolina were judged by Dr.
Pete Patterson at the 2nd
Annual Northeastern Heifer
Show held on Saturday at
the Livestock Arena in
Elizabeth City. The heifers
were grouped in 5 classes
based on their age. In
dividual classes and win
ners were: Class I (014141
to 02-2841) C.F. Stallings,
Perquimans County; Class
II (034141 to 04-3041) Lori
Litchtenwalner, Chowan
County; Class 111 (094141 to
10-3141) Kevin Brickhouse,
Pasquotank County; Class
IV <ll-01-81 to 12-3141)

County.
Grand Champion heifer
came from Class 111 and
was a Simmental cross -
bred heifer. The Reserve
Grand Champion was the
November - December class
winner and was also a
Simmental heifer.
The Showmanship
Competition was divided
into a Junior Division for
youths 13 and under and a
Senior Division for youths 14
