The new officers to the Board are: Jack Harris, Chairman; Dr. James Watson, Vice Chair man; Ralph Cole, Treasurer; Sam Shaw, Secretary. Clara Boswell, County Commissioner and the representative to Albemarle Mental Health from the Chowan County Commis sioners, honored West W. Byrum, Jr., for the job he did as chairman of the Albemarle Mental Health’s Board from January 1981 to December 1982, by giving him a plaque and a resolution in apprecia tion for his work with the Board. Mr. Cole in his position as Treasurer will be a co chairman for the Budget and Finance Committee for the Board of Directors of Albemaarle Mental Health. On Dean’s List Kermit Nixon of Edenton was among 61 students named to the Dean’s List for the 1982 fall semester at Mount Olive College. To qualify for the list, a stu dent must be attending on a full-time basis, have achieved a quality point average of 3.2 (B plus), and must not have received a grade below “C” in any subject for the semester. Kermit is the son of Mr. and Mrs.. George Nixon of Eden ton and a sophomore at Mount Olive College. Located in Wayne County, Mount Olive is a fully accredited, co-educational liberal arts college sponsored by the N.C. State Convention of Original Free Will Baptists.
