' Fourth Grade By Stephanie Waff In school this week we wrote let ters to Santa and a Christmas poem and a winter poem. We made San ta faces out of cones and stained glass windows of paper. We prac ticed our play in the auditorium. We also learned new songs for the play and music. We have a Christmas tree in the hall with ornaments from each classroom. This is our last week of school before Christmas vacation. By Shannon Robertson and Robin Lichtenwalner Hus week Mrs. Addison’s AG fourth grade class has been getting ready for Christmas. Our room is all ready for the joyful season to come, and we think everyone that comes in our class is ready for it too! We know we are! We did Christmas acronyms. We put them on white construction paper and decorated them by coloring them. They were very pretty. Mrs. Ad dison has decorated our door, cup board, and fish tank with red plaid ribbon and little white baby’s breath. Our door is decorated with a wreath and holly and ribbon. This week we are going to have a good time because we are going to have a short week. All Items 50c Eoch This Service Is Sponsored By Area Churches we are learning about safety signs. A red eight-sided signs always means stop. Don’t just slow down. Stop. A sign with a red circle and straight white bar means do not enter. You must never drive into a street where this sign is posted. A sign with a red circle and a slash always means no! The yellow diamond-shaped sign gives you a warning of danger ahead. The round yellow and black sign always means railroad crossing ahead. Slow down. Listen for the train whistle. Be prepared to stop. The red and white triangle sign means yield. You must slow down or stop if necessary. We are learning a lot in health and will learn more. Fifth Grade By Page Alston Beginning in social studies we ■BBH^aaaeaaa are doing reports on people of the American Revolution. In the com puter Math game on level 8 division is Angie Cole in first place and John Oliver in 2nd place, this week we are reading a special Christmas story called “Mr. Possy’s Christmas Tree”. In Mrs. Swan ner’s language arts class we are writilijjt tetters to Santa. We have seen a dental hygenist about teeth. Forf.E. we are playing “Goal Hi” (like basketball). And last, but not least, are leaders in Successful Snowflakes are Barbara Overman and Robert Ashley. . *. By Tiwana Johnson Mrs. P.
