NNCT Sponsoring Regional Amateur Photography Contest
ELIZABETH CITY—
Northeastern North Carolina
Tomorrow, Inc. (NNCT) is spon
soring a photography contest open
to all amateur photographers
within the 16-county region. The
contest gives area photographers
the opportunity to visually tell the
story of northeastern North
Carolina.
The photographs should depict
various aspects of life in north
eastern North Carolina. The
photos can portray business and
industries in the northeast, tourist
atttractions, agriculture, fishing,
and other natural industries, or
the region’s natural resources.
Although a wide range of subjects
is permitted, the objective is to
reflect characterists that are uni
que to this area.
Each contestant may submit
five prints, none smaller than
5”x7”, or larger, than .li”xl4”.

old. The deadline for submissions
is June 15. Professionals in the
field of photography and the
visual arts will judge the
competition.
The contest is divided into col

categories. Awards will be given
for first, second, and third place
for each category. The awards are
as follows:
First place - (Color) - $150,
(Black-and-White) - $100
Second place - (Color) - $100,
(Black-and-White) - $50
Third place - (Color) - $75,
(Black-and-White) - $25
Prints become the property of
NNCT, but the photographer re
tains other rights of distribution.

Attend Seminar
Amy L. Asbell of Tyner was one
of eight Campbell University
students selected to attend the
Kenelm Foundation-Campbell
University Tax Seminar held at
the Weymouth Center in Southern
Pines. The seminar featured a lec
ture by Sidney Kess, partner and
director of tax policy and plann
ing of the certified public accoun
tant firm of Main Hurdman in
New York City.

Boyce joined Wachovia in 1974
as a Commercial Bank Trainee in
Greenville and later that year was
promoted to Collection Manager
in Retail Banking, Elizabeth City.
In 1975, he became a Retail Bank
ing Field Representative and was
promoted to a Personal Banker in
1976. In 1981, he accepted new
responsibilities as Branch
Manager of the Southgate Office,
his present position.
A native of Edenton, Boyce is a
1974 graduate of Elizabeth City
State University. Boyce is active
in the Community as the Eastern
Regional Vice President for the
Banker’s Educational Society,
treasurer of Southgate Mall Mer
chants association, president of
Board of Directors of Elizabeth
City Boys Club and a Jaycee
member. Boyce is also a member
of St. Catherines’s Catholic Par
rish in Elizabeth City.
Boyce is married to the former
Loretta Navarres of Wahiawa,
Hawaii. They have three
daughters, Monique, Sidette and
