CHOWAN COUNTY DISTRICT COURT MAY 4 SESSION: Raymark Devon Bembury, guilty, driving while license revoked, sentenced to 30 days suspended with 12 months' un supervised probation, fined $250 plus court costs, ordered not to operate a motor vehicle until relicensed by DMV, pay $100 today and balance in 20 days. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Melvin Bonner, charged with permit ting operation of a motor ve hicle with no insurance. Sharon Myrick Bonner, guilty, sentenced to 20 days suspended with 12 months' un supervised probation, fined $150 plus court costs. Volun tary dismissal was granted on a charge of possessing open container after consuming al coholic beverage. Darrell Lavone Boyce, guilty, resisting arrest, sentenced to 60 days suspended with 12 months' supervised probation, fined $200 plus court costs, ordered to obey curfew to be determined at discretion of probation officer. Credit given for one day spent in jail await ing trial. Heather Byrum Cahoon, guilty, unsafe movement, fined $150 plus court costs, and $100 attorney's fee. Ordered to pay all sums due by June 3. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Dennis S. Carswell, charged with fail ure to avoid speed to avoid an accident. Bishari Coleman, guilty, speeding 70 in a 55 mph zone, prayer for judgment granted upon payment of court costs by May 24. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Mauricio Cruz, charged with inspection violation and having no operator's license. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Tobie Ann Davenport, charged with an inspection violation. Jamie Michele Drager, guilty, speeding 70 in a 55 mph zone, fined $10 plus court costs. Roland Gagne, Jr., guilty, speeding 70 in a 55 mph zone, fined $25 plus court costs. Leary, charged with posession of a fictitious or re voked driver's license and pro viding false information to a i law enforcement officer. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Josephine S. Leary, charged with a win dow tinting violation. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Adrian Annette Lewis, charged with speeding in a school zone. Justin J. Michael E. Privott, guilty, worthless check, sentenced to JO days suspended with 12 nonths' unsupervised proba ;ion, and ordered to pay $370 -estitution. Appealed. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of Timothy Privott, charged with allow ng the use of an unregistered /ehicle, permitting operation if vehicle without insurance, laving open container after consuming alcoholic beverage, md having unsealed alcoholic leverage in vehicle. Antonio Lamont Rome, guilty, possession of marijuana md resisting arrest, sentenced :o 30 days suspended with 12 nonths1 unsupervised proba :ion, fined $150 plus court costs, irdered not to use, possess or control any illegal drugs or controlled substance. Confis cated controlled substance to le destroyed, all confiscated 'unds to be released to Edenton Hhowan Schools. James Clayton Rouson, guilty, driving while license revoked, sentenced to 30 days suspended with 12 months' un supervised probation, fined $250 plus court costs, and or dered not to operate motor ve hicle until licensed by DMV. Probable cause was found in the case of William Satterfield, charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. The case was transferred to Superior Court. Voluntary dismissal was granted in the case of William Holt Shaw, Jr., charged with an unsafe movement. Ralph Spears, guilty, misde meanor probation violation, probation revoked and active 45-day sentence imposed. Phillip Ross Taylor, guilty, reckless driving, sentenced to 30 days suspended with 12 months' unsupervised proba tion, fined $250 plus court costs. Voluntary dismissal was granted on a charge of having no operator's license. Willie Athens Twine, guilty, driving while license revoked, sentenced to 45 days suspended with 12 months' supervised probation, fined $300 plus court costs, ordered not to operate a motor vehicle until relicensed by DMV, and serve active 14 day sentence at direction of probation officer. Voluntary dismissal was granted on a charge of driving while im paired. Christie A. Vianale, guilty, speeding 70 in a 55 mph zone, fined $25 plus court costs. Bobby Eugene White, guilty, reckless driving, sentenced to 30 days suspended with 12 months' unsupervised proba tion, fined $300 plus court costs, ordered to pay $300 today and balance due by May 24. Darnell White pleaded not guilty, but was found guilty, of driving while impaired, sen tenced to 30 days suspended with 12 months' unsupervised probation, fined $50 plus court costs, $175 attorney's fee, and commit no criminal offense in any jurisdiction while on pro bation. Roy Edward Wilson, guilty, driving while impaired, sen tenced to 24 months' suspended with 24 months' supervised probation, ordered to serve four-month active sentence, pay $300 fine plus court costs, obtain substance abuse assess ment, surrender driver's li cense for one year, not use or possess any illegal drug, sub mit to testing, not have any alcohol upon person or breath. Appealed. Voluntary dismissal was granted on charges of driv ing left of center and having open container after consum ing alcoholic beverage.
