BUSINESS EXPO 2000
Higher exhibitor presence for Expo 2000
Organizers expect
a total of 38 booths
at this year’s event
Business Expo 2000 will be
held Wednesday, October 18 -
Thursday, October 19, at the
National Guard Armory,
Edenton.
Richard Bunch, Executive
Director, Chamber of Com
merce, addressed the partici
pation level for this year’s
event.
“Our expo has more exhibi
tors than ever,” said Bunch.
The three-year venture
conducted by the COA,
Chowan-Gates-Perquimans
.Job Ready Partnership and
the local Chamber of Com
merce provides students with
an opportunity to explore
various careers and to inter
act with area businesses. It
also provides local businesses
with the opportunity to
showcase products and
services, develop new busi
ness opportunities, and
enhance visibility in an
expanded marketplace.
The Wednesday evening
“President’s Appreciation
Party” provides a networking
opportunity for area busi
nesses and the entire commu
nity, a situation that Bunch
believes will result in a large
turnout.
“We expect a lot of people
on Wednesday night,” Bunch
said.
Five local restaurants will
participate in the President’s
Appreciation Party which
runs 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday. Tickets can be
purchased from any Chamber
of Commerce employee at 116
East King Street, PO Box 245,

area's finest restaurants will

itself can be explored. Partici
