-Community Calendar A TIME CHANGE FOR STORYT1ME Beginning Dec. 4, Story Time for ALL Toddlers 2 through 4 years of age, will be at 11:00 a.m. each Wed., upstairs, at Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library, downtown Edenton. RELAY FUNDRAISERS PLANNED The First Christian Church Relay for Life team will hold a Christmas Sale in the church annex, McMullen Ave., Edenton, Dec. 6, 5-7 p.m. and Dec. 7,9 a.m.-3 p.m. Home Interior items. The team is also taking orders for homemade sweet potato, coconut and pecan pies. Must be ordered by Dec. 18, delivery Dec. 20. Information or orders: call 482-4985 or 482-3370. Proceeds benefit American Cancer Society Relay for Life. EDENTON SCOUT RECRUITMENT Edenton Scout Recruitments will be held on Sat., Dec. 7,10am-l:00pm, at the Scout Hut, N. Broad St. (next to tennis courts) forVenture Crew youth 14-20 yrs. old, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for boys aged 6-17. For each Cub Scout with a paid registration a FREE Pinewood Derby car will be given. There will be fun, games, hotdogs, door-prizes, Santa Claus, and lots more fun. Bring a parent & a friend. CHRISTMAS AT THE MARKET Christmas at the Market, sponsored by the Edenton Marketplace Guild, will take place on Sat., Dec. 7 in downtown Edenton with a great gift give-away, store decorating contest, bake sales, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, local churches caroling, and a Parade of Boats. Santa’s Elves at waterfront with activities for the kids; pony and train rides, clowns; and horse drawn buggy rides for everyone. Refreshments served. Come celebrate with us at the official downtown lighting ceremony at 6pm. HABITAT RE-STORE OPENS The Chowan-Perquimans Habitat for Humanity Re-store will be open on Sat., Dec. 7 and Tues., Dec. 10 and 17 from 9 a.m. until noon. It will be closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 20. The store is located on North Broad Street behind the Clothes Closet and sells used and surplus building and house materials at discounted prices. Info: Adrian Flynn, 482-2741. CHOIRS INVITED FOR CAROUNG Local church and civic choirs and choruses are invited to participate in the annual program of “Caroling on the Green”, Fri., Dec. 13 from 6-7pm during the Candlelight Tour. CHRISTMAS CANDLEUGHT TOUR The annual Christmas Candlelight Tour will be held in Edenton Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, from 4-8 p.m. A number of related events are also planned.
