More precisely, the town’s historical commission is plan ning to raise the 222-year-old structure to 10 feet above sea level. They rolled through the regular season like nobody’s business, then seared the competition in Hampton, Va. over the weekend. The Edenton Steamers, after six years in the Coastal Plain League, are Pettit Cup champions following a 13-2 pasting of the Outer Banks Daredev ils Sunday evening. Rosalind MacEnulty’s graceful fingers dance rapidly between the •keys as she plays a Debussy tune on the Steinway L size piano (mid size between a Grand and Baby Grand) she acquired when she was nine. Besides a bookshelf and table that have been in her family for generations, the piano is among the only things she takes with her when she moves.
