Congressman: ‘Stop policing the world’

Congressman Walter Jones
prefers that the United States
military stand down from its
perpetual world policing — a
break that would help slow out
of-control defense spending
while also allowing time to re
build its national security.

Data distributed among Ro

all nine of the property

hearing.
Eight of the disputes
directly relate to property
values set during the last

argued that their values are

of its debt.
“I think the county shares
some responsibility here,”
said Scott McLaughlin,
owner of Albemarle Boats,
at the April 1 hearing.
“We feel Chowan County

McLaughlin advised
county commissioners that

then responded with a re

2012 for an amount similar
to his original payment
along with charges of pen
