Gov. Pat McCrory in his
address at Jimbo’s Jumbos
Monday said the creation
of 78 jobs in an expansion
at the peanut process
ing plant is the result of a
strong team of economic
development leaders at
the state and local level.
A key piece of that team,
working mostly behind the
scenes, has been the Eden
ton Chowan Partnership.
As part of the process
that has enabled the expan
sion, the Edenton Chowan
Partnership is donating
to Jimbos Jumbos an 8.8
acre tract on Peanut Drive
next to the company’s cur
rent site.
