482-4418 .-003 EDENTON NC 27932-1854 Wednesday, May 11, 2016 50« Town manager clarifies process on properly at waterfront BY REGGIE PONDER Editor If Councilman Bob Quinn’s concerns about the use of property adjacent to the Conger Building at Edenton’s waterfront prove to be a genuine sticking point, there is a process for converting some of the land in the park to private use in exchange for acquiring additional park land. Town Manager Anne-Marie Knighton reported on that process in a memo to the mayor and members of the Town Council. Councilman Bob Quinn, one of four councilors who recently voted not to sell the building variously known as the Conger RmlHind a!iao Kaiioa -fV-* __ have been discussions, and questions about which activities can occur on the 1979 Northeast Commission Building, has submitted 13 questions and re lated concerns about the sale. Many of the concerns deal with use of the land around the building.
