was Dr. Meroney's first visit to Murnhy
n 18 years, and he f< und many
interesting and familiar scenes, although

peculiar interest was when fc visited

of western North Carolina." Dr.
Meroney. had many words of praise
for Murphy and predicted a great
future for this section. He has many
friends here who were glad to renew
acquaintance. Hi left Thursday
