"Resolved by the Board of Coun ty Commissioners of Cherokee Coun ty: ( 1 ) That for properly maintain ing a six months' school at Peach tree, Murphy Township, CherlkeC County, as required by Artivle 9, Section 3, of the Constitution of the State of North Carolina, it is neces sary that certain improvements be made therein of the following char acter: The installation of a State Sewerage and Disposal System, and for lighting the building: (2) That in order to provide said improvements it is necessary that the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) be obtained by borrow ing the same to be used by the Coun ty Board of Education of Cherokee Cou.ity, for said purpose. (3) That the Board of County Commissioners of Cherokee County does hereby approve of and author ize the application for, and procure ment of, a loan for said purpose from the Special Fund of the State' of North Carolina, established un der Chapter?. There was a nice occasion enjoy ed i?\ some 58 people at the home of N. K. Dockers, Sunday. October 7th. in honor of his wife's 47th birthday and her mother, Mrs. Thomas Payne's 77th birthday. Everyone present seemed to enjoy the day immensely, the strange part of it was that six widowed women participated in the occasion. We wish the two many more such birth days. Mr. \. K.
