Daily requests for more information and many favorable comments are being received by the committee fr< m Florida citizens and from tour ists passing through this section as ;> result of radio broadcasting- and display advertising in Florida by this committee prior to April 10th. /Many tourists and much travel from Florida and Georgia have been com ing this way as a result of this pub licity work, regardless of our late start this season. This work represents the com ! hined efforts of the Lions Clubs at Miirphy and Bryson City, the Rotary I lul? a: Andrews, and the Union coun . hamber of Commerce at Blairs_j v . These four organizations spon soi the Xeel-Gap ? Smoky Mountain Tours, and their official Executive Coniniittee is composed of the fol lowing members: Horace Kepharl. New letterheads and stationery will be ready Tor the committee members and off.cers at *hc next meeting and reports from the chairman and l/om secretary Randolph will ccvc r the marv requests for more information on this "UCST HUNDRED MILES OK TEN THOUSAND THRILLS." The following letters are typical of many we have received in the past month: "Your letter of April 25 is receiv ed. 1 am certainly glad to get the copy of the folder relating to U. S. Highway 19. It is an exceedingly credible publication. With kind re gards, sincerely yours, ?J". S. Holmes, State Forester, Ral eigh, N. C." * * * "Your letter of April 25 is re ceived and appreciated. We have more cuts for your use if you need them and, as you know, plans are going forward for improve ment work on the Vogel State For_ est- Park at this time. The two acres there dedicated to the American -Le gion Blood Mountain War Mehor ial should prove to be a big feature ir future attractions to .visitors on your wonderful scenic highway. With kindest regards, I am, Sin cerely yours, B. M. Lufburrow, State Forester, Atlanta, Ga." * * * ? From Neal Gap to the Nantahala Gouge and on to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park this. region offers such outstanding scenic attrac tions that it is doubtful if any group of local citizens ever had a greater incentive for advertising such an ar ray of natural features and unsur passed formations of beauty Re mits so far indicate that nothing can check ike enthusiasm of this Ex ecutive Co .uniit :e and all patriotic citizei.s in the thr*cr counties of Swain, Cherokee and Union are now called- upon for unanimous support of this work which four civic organ izations are sponsoring. The four towns represented will not be the on ly ones to benefit thereby, for each citizen and every business will feel the profits to be derived from bi-an nual tourist travel and from summer LEGAL MATTERS NOTICE OF SAI.F- OF I \N|? l"nd?r authority conferred bv d-ed ..f trust! executed by J |*.
