To The Star: Listen, friends, at what I have te i say and get these few words straight. I The worst thing that every hap- 1 pened to us was in 1D.28. We all voted for Hoover and couldn't be convinced. But this depression on now has taught us some sense. He promised us prospertiy and said poor houses would vanish away. His promises are not worth a | whoop and starvation is here today, j We need a man like Wilson, but ? Rcosevelt will do this fall. ! But we are all positive that we do ! not need Hoover at all. We know he's running again but] this depression we all have felt. j And when you go to the election be sure that you vote for Roosevelt. Hoover has had his fishing and he has had his thrill. But he almost finished all of us with his tariff hills. A new president we'll all like to see, And my guess is it will be Frank lin D. P. E. HAYES, Lawndale, Route 4. ? News Herald.
