Picklesimer Reunion Sunday August 19, 1934 the descendants of George Picklesimer <i? ceased pioneer citizen of Cher:kee county gak'iered at the home of Mr. Tom Picklesimer at Patrick in an annual family leunion. Sunday morning members of the family, relatives and friends began arriving: with brimful baskets of chicken, pies, cakes, tel., which told the sort of activities that would ta!-e place around the noon hour. A large table was elected n^ar the spring under the large trees where all gathered about 11 o'clock to enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Following the meal the hearts of toe pepole* weie saddened a?= the rain began pattering down and those from long distan.-c began talking of the journey homewsrd. The crowd began leaving early in the afternoon due to the indentancy of the weather which broke up the singing and talking which would have took place in the afternojn. Tht re were 174 present. There were four children present of th late George Picklesimer decosed. John Picklesimer of Apison, Tenn., age 73 years, Mrs. Jane Eeley ol Georgie age 75 years. Mr. Tom Picklesimer age 60 years and Mrs. Sarah Payne age 64 years both of Patrick. Names of others present: Mrs. Nancy Ann Picklesimer, of Suit, N.
