A prize is awarded annually by Mrs. Ak^n and is greatly sought by the young stars. _ c Big Dance Ends Season < For Alpha Beta Gamma The Alpha Gamma Beta Society < wound up its Summer season in a blaze of glory last Fridav niirht with a formal dance which was far and away the largest and most delightful ^ held this year. Guests came from Andrews, and Hiwassee Dam and from other nearby communities. It was a card dance, with Mrs. J. B. Gray and Mrs. E. O. Christopher acting as chaperones. The dance was staged in the Public library. The Misses Kate Bray ,Marian Axley and 4'Toots" Cook were in charge ' of arrangements, and had the hall ' beautifully decorated with greentry ' and flowers. The meeting was called to order by the vice-chairman, Mrs. George Phillips and opened with prayer by Mrs. H. L. Paisley. The program was in charge of Mrs. Henry Hyatt. All taken parts.
