Franklin Smith, one of whose hens recently laid two eggs in five minutes has just completed a trippledeck, or three story laying house built according to suggestions and plans of the State College. The house has a capacity of 1,000 laying hens. | Mr. Smith specializes in two breeds; the C. C. White leghorn, of the Tom Bamon Strain and the New Hampshire Reds. He plans to have 1500 pullets and laying hens by November. He produces fryers, dressed hens and quality eggs, both white and brown All the market eggs are infertile, gathered three times a day and sold while they are still fresh. All of Mr. Smith's hens are scientifically fed thereby producing egga which are higher in food value since they contain a higher percentage ol vitamines, minerals and proteins. i 0 j Mr. Harry Carringer has returned from a several days visit in Knox I HENtili ' THEATRE \\ |l Murphy, N.
