Ga? piani t. and Miss Martha Nell Wells cf Raleigh, vocalist. Mrs. Turner plivcrt. "I Love You Truly", by Bond. "The Sweetest Story Ever Told", by Stult- and "O. Promise Me", by De Koven. Miss Wells sang "Ah. Sweet Mystery of Life", by Victor Herbert and Because" by D'Havdelot. Mc Dowell's "To A Wild Rose" was play ed softly during the ceremony. William and Selby Glenn Benton, brothers of the bride, lighted the candles in the living room and din ing room, To the strains of the bridal chorus from "Lohengrin" the bride entered with her father who gave her in mar riage. Her only ottcndanl was Miss Hazel Hyde, of Andrews, sister of the i:room. The bridegroom had as his best man. Edwiti Whltaker. of Bry son City. The bride wore a suit of soldier blue with fox trimmings, and black accessories. Her shouldier corsage was of sweetheart roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor was dressed in Indian tan with brown ac cessories. Her corsage was of gladi oli and baby breath. Following the ceremony an infor mal reception was held. Mm. Hyde is a graduate of the Uni ! verstty of Georgia, where she was a member of Kappa Delta society. For the past three years she lias been a member of the Murphy high school faculty. Mr. Hyde received his L. B. degree from Wake Forest College where he was a' member of Pi Gamma frater nity. He Is attorney for the Nanta liala Power and Light Company, with an off:ce In Murphy. Interesting talks were given by Miss Mary Porter Fain ana Melvin Crow. New members who had made high enough grades were taken into the club by the oath of membership administered by Miss Lovingood.
